​Recovery isn’t just resting anymore!
Physical and mental overuse fatigue doesn’t go away with sleep and rest alone.
The physical and mental benefits of recovery days have become seemingly evident in mental wellness and physical health alike.
In addition to this, recovery days has also filtered through to social interaction and networking.
Traditional rest day rule was; sit if you are standing, lie down if you are sitting. Sleep and hydrate.
But with more recovery tools at our disposal, no wonder that rest and recovery days now include a routine of heat therapy or a cold plunge followed by deep tissue work. Movement aided recovery (body flow) to increase blood flow and range of motion are being put into practice.

The message is clear, longevity is the priority.

​According to the latest industry insights; hospitality and nightclub entrepreneurs are now dedicating their investments towards recovery and wellness projects.
Nightclub owners are investing millions in exclusive wellness and recovery clubs which offer a distinct experience for members.
The context: Meet-up spots in the EU and the Americas are changing. What once were traditional bars or golf clubs are now recovery rooms and saunas at health clubs and hotels.
In recent years Mental, and physical benefits of sauna and recovery are widely accepted, so unsurprisingly businesses are jumping on the wellness bandwagon with these investments.

'MINDFUL MOVEMENT' MOVEMENT
According to global data from STUDIOs in New York to Sydney, pilates studios booking have increased 92% between 2022 and 2024. One of the primary reasons is MINDFUL MOVEMENT PRACTICE. There has been extensive research and ever growing data about mindful movement that dials in on mental & internal focus, body awareness, and controlled breathing, with the intention to improve strength, balance, flexibility, posture and body alignment, along with overall health. It’s safe to say, holistic health is here to stay.
Mindful movement includes pilates, yoga, barre, tai chi and body flow. Where people turn to these movements to improve mind-body health and mental focus, and for stress-relief and mindfulness, in conjunction with physical exercise.
Currently estimated at USD 52 billion the mindful movement grew 12% CAGR from 2019 to 2024, with Yoga, pilates, barre and Tai-chi being the most commonly practiced methodologies.
Our fast-paced, stressful modern lives are fuelling the demand for slower-paced, mindful movement and exercise. Among extensive workload, erratic sleep schedule and anxiety inducing work and personal stress, the practice of mindful movement is the go to choice for anyone with chronic pain and disease, with many seeking relief in exercise, physical activities and non-medical solutions. Across the board, there is growing interest in, and increasing recognition of, the importance of mind-body health.
